    Little Bear East Community Center

    Welcome to the Little Bear East Arena & Community Center, home of  The St. Ignace Recreation Department


    The Community Center has a convention room, multi purpose exhibit space, NHL size ice rink and a fitness center. The Community Center hosts a variety of events to include The St. Ignace Home Show, hockey tournaments, wrestling tournaments, concerts, wedding receptions, business meetings and much more!
    The St. Ignace Recreation Department offers baseball/softball, flag football, soccer, hockey and basketball programs. The St. Ignace Recreation Department promotes healthy living by sponsoring free walking inside the community center.

    Metro Jets Tie with Cheboygan

    Metro Jets tie contest with a power play goal late in the 3rd period.  Metro Jets looked to be in command until 2 quick goals by Cheboygan early in the 3rd period.  Penalties hurt Cheboygan and provided Metro with an opportunity to tie the game

    St. Ignace Starts Fast

    St. Ignace scores early and often.  Escanaba with a short bench couldn't slow St. Ignace scoring. Mitchell Peterson scores the game opener after just 36 seconds expire in the first period.

    Scotia Bank & Soo Steelheads end with a tie

    Jacob Delavalle scores in the 2nd period for the Steelheads to tie the game with 2 apiece.  That is where the score stays with both team failing to find the back of the net in the 3rd period. 

    St. Ignace Wins Team Skills Competition

    St. Ignace wins the overall skills competition and takes home the plaque. 
    St. Ignace's Sam McGahey wins the shootout competition.  Escanaba's Joe Jacobsen won the fastest skater competition with a time of 15.38.  Escanaba's Kyle Krutina won the puck handling competition.    Rockford Ram's Blake Jackson won the Shooting Accuracy Competition.   St. Ignace's Artie Boucha won the hardest shot with a speed of 65 mph.  Lakeland's Austin Burrum won the goalie competition.

    Lansing led by team Captain Zach Phillips pulls past Bucci's Bandits.   Lansing ends round robin play with 4 points and finishes second in their division.
